Transmission is shot, I haven't looked into the cost of fixing it yet. I will be putting it back together, I got a fun winter project in mind *cough*Diablo*cough* (Message edited by froggy on September 25, 2011) |

Sweet! I am working on my tranny now. I have a few worn dogs and wanted to send a good complete gear set and shafts to get cryo-treated. I think I am just going to buy new gears but they are expensive! Somewhere around $120 each! Ouch! I'll take my time and get it just right. |

Cat, if you look back in time on here he had major engine and tranny issues which the dealer "fixed". Long story short after numerous trips to the dealer and no luck with a warranty engine/tranny he bought a sweet motard. |

Rich Thank you. I have also picked up a pretty sweet sv650. Although the supermoto is still my favorite bike I have ever owned. (even with knobbies.) Frank the gears and shafts on the tranny should be good. It was the shift drum that always gave me problems with the bike. Ryan Rich pretty much nailed it. I thought I would rebuild it but never got around to it. My dad is selling his house and my stuff has to go. And I don't have the time or energy to do a project bike. Brian |

Lonexb, I have a "second bike" and it is a motard.I swear it is the most fun you can have with your clothes on.Can't 2 up or long trips, but man is it fun.I evacuated from Hatteras Island for Irene & took the Uly & the XR650R to SW Virginia.I put more miles on the motard than I did the Uly.Sorry about the bad XB experiance. |

Donnie the husky was my only street legal bike for the better part of 4 years. it has 37k miles on it now. i have ridden it to tennessee, virgina, and a round trip to florida on it. for only having 41 horse at the rear wheel it's a hoot. it is absolutly more fun to ride a slow bike fast, than a fast bike slow. plus the whole hooligan aspect. i love that thing. brian |
