So I'm kinda sick of changing my visor from riding from night to day. Has anyone used the transition visor before? Is it worth the $? |

I have yet to use a transition visor but the last couple helmets I bought are dual- visor with the tinted retractable visor built in. Best idea ever. I would usually ride with sunglasses on and my visor up because of the heat down here in South Louisiana. (Message edited by TerryS1980 on August 23, 2011) |

I saw those helmets with a double visor I like them alot but I felt like iceman in top gun with it on. Right now I have a tinted visor but when it gets dark I flip it up and wear my riding glasses. |

For now I usually just leave my dark one on all the time too. I was checking out the new bell helmets and noticed they have a tinting visor. I thought about getting one but not sure if I could justify $115 for a visor. |

I did the changing game on my last helmet. Dark shield during the day, change to the light shield at dusk. My newest helmet (Nolan 103) has the flip down inner shield. Great setup. I do not have to deal with sunglasses or change shields around. I have mixed emotions on a flip up helmet but the flip down inner shield does work well. |

Froggy, That is pretty cool. How is it to look through when it is clear? |

It isn't clear, its like 10% tinted, and then when "on" it goes to 50%. It is very very nice |

Here is a quick video I took of the visor recharging. When it charges it switches between off and on, then stops when it is full. http://froggypwns.com/Files/VID_20110613_130705.3g p |

i just got the solfx photochromic shield for my bell revolver yesterday. its not 100% clear, maybe like 10% like froggy's. it gets about as dark as a light smoke shield. this is fine since i can supplement it with the internal sun visor if its crazy bright out. the transition is gradual, about the same time as it takes for your eyes to get used to light. you dont actually notice the change until you do something like open the visor and realize how much light there is without the shield. as a bonus, the antifog coating works really well. |

I had some good conversation with the e-tint guys at the Indy GP this past weekend. Cool stuff. If I did much night riding, I would definitely be in for one. They are based out of OH, and had two 1125R's as "eye-catchers" outside their booth. |

Hey Chessm, how do you like the Revolver? Do they still have the face guard rubbing that webbike world describes? |

the helmet is ok. its the noisiest helmet ive ever owned, even noisier than my airoh tr-1. hell i have an 3/4 helmet that's quieter. earplugs are mandatory. but yes the breath guard hits the top of the helmet. but i didnt even notice it until i read that article. so its not a deal breaker.
