What is one of these beauties doing at a HD dealership? I'm sure the last thing Erik Buell wants is any kind of future relationship with them. |

As long as he can build bikes like he wants and the bikes are selling I am sure he would not mind putting Erik Buell Racing bikes on the HD dealership floors. |

So what if they are also a HD dealer? Being or not being a HD dealer is not one of the qualifications needed to become an Erik Buell Racing dealer. |

I would have thought sport bike dealerships would have been the obvious outlets, since the Erik Buell Racing 1190's are aimed at the sport bike buyer, not the Harley crowd. And if posts on this board are to be believed, a lot of HD dealerships treated Buell as a very poor relation to Harley Davidson, in terms of after sales service, etc. Why would you want to risk a repeat of that scenario? That said, despite the price point, I'm sure these 1190's are selling as quickly as they can be produced, regardless of who's flogging them. |

Some HD dealers did a terrible job with one brand of motorcycles, so no HD dealer should be an Erik Buell Racing dealer? That wouldn't be a wise decision. The simple fact is that Whites HD went out of their way to become an Erik Buell Racing dealer, that should tell you something about them right there. They weren't told, "Hey, if you take a dozen of these sportbikes, you can have 50 more high profit Ultra Fat Glides". |

I'm not saying that NO HD dealer should sell Erik Buell Racing bikes. As a matter of fact, my HD dealership here in Vancouver, BC was very pro Buell, and I'd love to see an 1190 there, so I could drool over it! I just didn't ever expect to see any renewed association between Erik Buell Racing and HD, given the acrimony of the shutdown, and the fact that the track record with many HD dealerships was poor in the past. But there's no doubt Erik is a very smart businessman, and he knows what's good for his new brand. Frankly, I couldn't give a rat's ass who sells them - since I'm about $40,000 short of buying one! |

White's (and their other dealership Iron Valley) were very pro-Buell! Joe White put 3400 miles on the Uly that I now own. The guys in the dealership are quite excited to have that bike. |

My guess is that White's has made a direct deal with E*B*R and HD isn't involved. |

The best motorcycle dealerships I have dealt with have been Harley Davidson. Second best was an independent KTM/Kawasaki shop (Clinton County Motorsports). Both were head and shoulders better than Middletown Honda. If they want to carry Erik Buell Racing bikes and want to do it right, I expect they will do an outstanding job. |
