but they only make it for the 06-08SS. http://www.corbin.com/buell/hdxb127lgl.shtml Can I just source seat rails and everything else will bolt up? |

No, the frames on the bike are different. You would need to do some fabrication to the mounting points to make it work. It's been done, but with a fair amount of effort and I've yet to see it done well. For reference, there were basically 2 frames used for the XBs: S, R, SX, SL, SCG all shared a frame while X, XT, SS, STT shared a frame. |

...with the SS and STT getting a S style sub-frame, although, by the way the comfort kit side covers popped right in on my STT I'd say all four models share the rails as well, and only the tail and seat really differ on the long framed XB's. Does that sound about right Andy? I've been longing for that seat and backrest since I got my STT, my eight year old does okay holding on around town but gets sleepy on longish rides. I don't dare take her on the freeway without a back rest, just don't have the $$ to spare for it right now so we are restricted to city streets. |

No they side rails are different. In fact , the frame mounting points (where the side rails bolt to the frame) are also different. There's not much between the tail sections that swap over. |

check out on buellxb.com there has been a few guys who have done the swap to the s tail and i believe even one guy who had an S and went to a SS seat and sub frame. it has been done but i have seen anything turn out super clean. some came out good just not super clean. |
