New Buell owner here - first post. I have an XB12R, 650 miles or so, and I am going to get a pipe. I am looking at the Drummer and the D&D, but have yet to see a dyno that really tells the tale for me. If D&D outperforms stock so well, and Drummer outperforms D&D, how can Drummer be such a slight (albeit consistent) improvement over stock? I don't have a big use for under 3k grunt, I am more likely to bang the rev limiter, and I like to cruise the backroads between 4-6. Any charts out there that show stock, D&D, and Drummer on same day, same dyno? I used to have a VTR with Wolf Racing carbon fiber cans under the seat, that would go BOOM BOOM BOOM when I would light it up in the morning. I liked the head turning volume, and have concerns that the Drummer is not quite there. Too bad we are so few and far between - I never see any other XB's! (or any other Buells for that matter) |

If your crusing at 4 grand the drummer really isnt that quiet. To give you an idea of the loudness i work about a mile away from my house. My father tells me he can hear me the whole way to work. He has actualy very acuratly described where i accel and slow down. As far as the power, ive only ever ridden stock and the drummer, and i am very pleased with the differance in power from the drummer. |
