Ok... '05 models are scheduled to be announced next week. Any guesses on when a buyer would actually be able to drive one over the curb? (I've put my FXDX up for sale - I'm all but certain at this point that I'm either going back to Buell or if there's nothing particular exciting for '05, I may be looking at a 600F4i). WYD | ||

i wouldnt think of it at least until the fall. I wanted a 12 pretty bad when they came out and the reason i got a 9 was i couldnt wait. I got my 9 on aug 12th and still didnt see any 12 r's until a month of 2 later | ||

Yeah - if there is something cool announced, I'm willing to wait a little while (maybe 2 months) but otherwise, I'll probably end up riding a metric. Of course, if something INCREDIBLY cool is announced, I'll probably wait as long as necessary. In other words, I'm friggin' clueless. :-) | ||

I think they only produced around 200 or so XB9's this year. Also over 60% of Buell sales have been in Europe. | ||

I could not find an 04 XB either. Each dealer I went to told me they: a) Could not order one b) Weren't expecting any and c) Wouldn't I rather like an XB12 anyway? I purchased one of the two 2003 XB9's left in the warehouse at my local dealer. All he had were lightnings and 12R's... ;( I love my 9... Chris | ||

Same here with one of my local dealers. They actually had a Buell factory demo going on for several days. I signed up and test rode a 9s. Loved it and went to buy it. The dealer tells me that they "don't have any and can't order any more". Mind you, this was back in MARCH! Why the hell were they demo'ing them if they didn't have any to sell? On the other hand, I guess his strategy worked - I ended up buying a 12R. I got my 2004 XB9R early march. Haven't seen another R on the road (but there are a couple) nor an S model in the shops. A mate of mine enquired about them and was told to hurry as he could count the entire Aust. unsold quota of 2004 XB9 models on 1 hand. |
