Hey all- I just wanted to publicly thank and recognize Kevin Drum of Drummer (KDFab). I have a Drummer SS pipe on my Uly- what a fantastic piece of equipment! Sounds great, performs great, and IMO is the best looking pipe on the market. Well I now have another "best" category to list Drummer in- best customer service! I had a minor issue with my pipe, and he said to send it in to him. My pipe came back looking brand new and re-packed.....and he refused to allow me to pay him for any of it. I'm floored by his level of service. His response to me? "Thanks for letting me fix it the right way". Wow. If you're on the fence, BUY ONE! No regrets. www.kdfab.com The best way I can think of to thank him is to send him more business, which I will gladly do. Some Buell porn for you: www.kdfab.com |

Yeah, I've got a Drummer SS on my '08 XB12Ss and it's pretty bad ass. Love the sound... it makes more usable torque than the Micron Serpent I had on there previously and it sounds a lot better, IMHO. Very beautiful and bulletproof piece of hardware. |

Mes JUST curious, when you had your Micron, was the ECM loaded with the proper map? IF I was to have to do it all again though, definitely would go factory header cermachromed with a Drummer, no doubt!! Just curious Bruce (Message edited by rr_eater on July 27, 2011) |

I'm on the fence. I have the $650 but man thats a lot of money. Then I'll still need the ECM and air filter so were talking around a grand for how much HP? |

I want one in the worst way but I need other things first. But when/if I do an engine re-build soon I am thinking of going with this pipe over what I have which I have no Idea who modified my pipe I have now I just know it looks stock but sounds much louder and better then stock. |

I'm on the fence as well. I've had to rebuild my Jardine 2x, but have the Erik Buell Racing Ecm programmed for it. . . I guess I could pay them to reprogram and slap this on. |

To me it's not so much about more HP, but rather my bike runs better (most importantly), looks better and sounds better. A Drummer pipe can run just fine on the stock ECM. In reality, our motors are pretty well tweaked out. Other than some minor tuning, there's not much power to be had with simple bolt ons etc. |

Bruce, I was tuning my XB with the Micron, but I always had problems getting the thing to seal since it had a 4 piece header tube. I really enjoyed the sound of the Micron too and I think it did make more top end horsepower. In the end, someone toppled my bike over the kickstand and damaged the Micron, which are no longer in production, so I had to choose another system. The Drummer SS is definitely higher quality construction than the Micron and I believe focuses more on low end torque than top end power. I am very rarely in the 6000+ RPM range these days anyway... the bike makes more than enough power for my riding habits. |
