I just changed the pads on the front and noticed that the pistons on the inner side where in and on the outer side I had to press them back in. Also the outer pad was worn about twice as much as the inner pad. Could all the inner pistons be frozen? I put it back together and it seemed to work when I push it around, I didn’t take it out for a ride as I wanted to ask before I go out and maybe kill myself. |

Or things are not sliding on the pins like they are supposed to do. So yes there is some sort of problem. What you might want to do is press the inner side in, put the used thin pad on the inner side and thick new or used pad on the outside, squeeze the lever and see if things adjust correctly and the pistons on the inner move. If not then you might be in for a rebuild. |

After thinking about it seems more than likely pressed them in fighting to get the wheel off the bike. Always a "Fun" job! But I'll call Al and order a rebuild kit and tear it down just in case. I'd rather have a bike that won't go than one that won't stop. |

If the pads are not worn the same on both sides, something was wrong so it deserves some attention. |

OK I pulled it down and it's not frozen after I cleaned it up. Might have been but brake cleaner and compressed air freed them up. Went ahead and did the drain and bleed thing and they seem to work much better. |
