I notice on the left side , by the bottom of the rear cylinder , on top of the case , very close to the starter motor , oil seeping . Its not wet or dripping , but I did not notice it before . Is there a Gasket or O-ring around the starter motor ?
The motor only has 3400 miles . Anyone seen this before ?
I also notice on the bottom of the Trans. some seep near the output shaft . Same leak ?
Could it be leaking Trans fluid around the starter motor ?

Yes there is a gasket on the starter, can't help with the rest.

Best to clean the bike well, powder it up w/ talc or spray powder stuff (like athlete's foot spray powder) and go for a ride. The true leak areas will show up.

It would be strange to have a leaky starter gasket so early. But if it's that, it could easily travel to another point on the engine and make it look like a leak there, too.

You'll know better once the powder tells the story.

Mine has had that for 10k miles. Just clean it out, and check it now and then. Mine forms a little coating under the starter from spring to fall. I do about 12k miles a year.

It might not be a gasket at all.
The breather hose from the tranny comes out around there.
It could be possible that the hose came loose or something.

Hey, you never know, you might luck out : )

The rubber plug that the stator wires exit the primary case through (located just in front of the starter) has also been known to leak.
