Don't get all excited about the "axle news" it's not, from the sound of it anything big. It just has to do with how the bikes fit on the "leaning stand" that some dealers have. Don't read too much into it. As far as pricing goes, yes you will have to wait until after the dealer meeting to hear it from me anyway. Again, not a big deal, prices change every year. All the speculation about a new model is fun but I do not have any info on what or even if there are new models. We will all have to wait for that info. Dave |

Dave, Any word on the early XB12 race ECMs that didn't work? Did you ever get yours covered under warranty? Will the updated race ECMs keep the same part number as the old ECMs? Thanks. |

Probably do the old add a A or B thing but I do not know for sure. I'll have to ask if they covered the one I had that didn't work on my demo. Dave |

Dave, Keep me posted on the warranty status with the ECM that didn't work on your demo. I'm still trying to figure out how to get my current race ECM replaced. It sure would be nice if one of the anonys could help me out in this situation. hint |

Oh, so that's what your representative is sourcing ... so far it seems he's mainly been interested in sourcing food and alcoholic beverages Henrik |

A little bird whispered in my ear to look at the latest Heavy Duty mag. What do I see? The same representative and his cohorts have a four page spread in it! Well done blokes.

I had a race ECM installed in early October last year on my 12R, and the bike seems to run hot and has a lot less performance then recently installed ECMS on bikes that were purchase this year, so the bike goes in for a tune-up tomorrow. Is there no hope that they will get my bike running the way it should with the old ECM, should I demand a new one? What is the story with these? |

Is there credible evidence that there is a difference from the "older" race ECMs and the "newer" one? anybody??????????????????????????????????????????? |

None that I know of, I have the impression that they either work or they don't (race ecm for XB12). If you're really concerned about the performance of the race ecm you can always bolt your stock one back in for a quick comparison. |

On the whole ECM thing, my race kit in it's entirety was handed back under warranty (I ended up keeping the K&N)... I have yet to hear anything about the ECM not working... I know for sure that this issue went beck to the factory, so we'll have to just keep on waiting. At least they know about it, though... I'm using the stock ECM and a mate of mine says he eats fumes when he's following me and I'm going for it, so mine is running a bit rich up top... |
