I somehow ended up with a new (PO installed it and wife made him take it off 2 hrs later) Jardine muffler. After reading the pros and cons I'm not sure this is the one for me. Should I sell it for say $200 and put that money towards a Drummer or just use it as is? Give me some advice. If you have a Jardine tell me how you like it. How is the noise level compared to the Drummer? This one has the quite insert. Thanks |

Since you have it, put it on, see how much you like it. Even with the quiet core it is very loud, and the Drummer is quieter. |

Is $200 a good price? It is new with all parts, instructions and receipts. |

Many have shipped them to others for free. It's worth what you can get out of it. Also if you decide to use it there is a mod that seems like it needs to be performed, detailed on another Buell forum. (Message edited by Greg_E on July 18, 2011) |

Ship it to me for free and I will try it out. It's only worth what you can get. Put it in the classifieds and see if it moves. Maybe offer a trade for a drummer with $ first. |

Mine blew up..literally. I'd recommend GBalias custom job before Jardine! |

OK, I'll list it for $200 and I'll pay shipping. I'll post some pictures with the add in the classifieds when I get time later. |

Trash the can, use the elbow and make a GBalias/Lattus replica pipe like I did.

I had a Jardine on my XB9s for 4 years, NO PROBLEMS (no insert YUK). YES the ydo burn out, as the hollow fibre gets a pounding from the exhaust pulse. I only ever repacked mine once, and it sounded much better. I used SILENT SPORT,(as used in the WSB). It's more dense than the fibre cr#p and gives the Jardine a very deep note. Replaced the rivets with good stainless steel, sealed with gasget sealant. (oh remove the chicken wire inner only leave the perf.core) This lasted me 3 more years.. no problems. I then sold it on FLEABAY for around $300 and got a D&D.. more noise.. Anyway, the Jardine is a good bang for your buck pipe. some have problems.. some dont. Cheers. |

Sounds like your pretty set on selling the pipe. The Jardine pipe really doesn't have that many problems that weren't self inflicted. The Jardine is one of the loudest and best sounding pipes. It also produces some of the best hp and tq numbers with a decent map. A lot of people on here will promote site sponsored products, try the pipe before you sell it. |

The Drummer SS is a whopping $650. Selling the Jardine will kind of lessen the pain. |

I have had the Drummer SS on for about 2 weeks and its well worth it. Erik Buell Racing has tested the exhuast so you can get a preprogramed ECM. Kevin is top notch and customer service is like no other. |

A guy on this board wants to know if this Jardine will fit on his 2006 XB12X. I'm 99% sure it will but I want to confirm this before I sell it to him. Will it fit? Thanks |

I have had the jardine and an Erik Buell Racing ECM to match for about 5k now. Havent had a bit of trouble with it and I love the sound. |

It should fit just fine because the engines are the same and the Jardine uses its own mounts. |

Get the Drummer SS and don't look back! Best looking, sounding and performing pipe in my book. On top of that, Kevin provides TOP NOTCH service- i had a small issue with my SS, and I sent it in to him. He returned it completely rebuilt and looking like a brand new pipe again! When I thanked him and offerred to pay him for his services his reply was "No need, thanks for letting me fix it the right way"! Service like this is hard to find, and I don't mind paying a bit more for a handcrafted piece of art with service behind it like that! |

I've had a Jardine on my bike for almost 40K miles now with no problems. It is on the loud side even with the quite tip, but repacking with better packing helped some. Runs great with the custom ECM map. Very little decel popping (could be one reason it's lasted 40K miles so far). |
