Do these "hyperchargers" actually do anything for a bike? I have an XB9SX to be precise. Would I see any gains at all if I put one of these on my bike? |

No and no. Do the open airbox mod if you want more air flow. |

they look cool thats about it...but as far as power your not going to get it from that. I want to say I have heard they actually rob you of power but don't quote me on that as I have never used one and never will. |

Thanks Terry, is there a tutorial anywhere or on youtube somewhere of an airbox mod for an xb9? And what exactly will I notice different if I do the airbox mod? |

If you want to DIY, look here. Open Airbox Mod Or you can buy the kit from American Sport Bike. Open Airbox Conversion Kit and you will definitely hear the vacuum noise from the throttle body. |

i have never seen a hypercharger on an XB. We call the "bird catchers or suckers" here at the dealership. they are dumb. |

Artic9r there is or was an airbox cover that made it so that you could install a hypercharger onto a XB but I have never heard of anyone actually using it. but i am sure if it sucks on all of the side mounted intakes it will suck on these bikes as well. |
