Just rebuilt the engine, started up and ran good for about 30 seconds now won't start. Relays and fuses good, not getting any spark, good fuel, just no spark. I think either ecu or coil but I don't have the pin out schematic to check the coil. I have the ecu pin out. Does anyone have or know where I can get the pin out schematic for the coil? |

Hey Terry, thanks a bunch bud! So here's what I have Front cylinder to rear cylinder 12.38 M ohms. Pin A to rear cylinder 6.15 K ohms Pin C to front cylinder 6.24 K ohms Pin B to A 1.0 ohm Pin B to C 1.0 ohm All pins to front cylinder read 6.24 K ohms All pins to rear cylinder read 6.15 K ohms I have no idea what I should be reading. Again any info would be much appreciated as I'm looking for a new ECU at this point and don't even know where to get one. I would love to have to replace a coil instead... |

started up and ran good for about 30 seconds now won't start Did you shut it off or did it die on you? Maybe a bad pin connector to the coil? |

To check the coil you will need to check the resistance of the primary and secondary side. Primary side being pins 2 & 4, should read 0.5-0.7 ohms. Secondary side is 1 & 5, should read 5.5k-7.5k ohms. |

If the coil was OK before you built it, it doesn't seem likely that it would have failed right after you re-started it. I'd look elsewhere for an electrical problem (blow fuse, unseated relay, broken/pinched wire). Since it died, is the fuel pump cycling when you turn it on? |

I think it is the CPS...Emailed Al at American sportbike and he schooled me on testing the CPS, going to do that Wednesday and single out more stuff. |

I just noticed something odd.... That picture has front and rear plugs reversed (1 and 5). |
