i know the manual says not to do it.there's a gas station that sells trick 101 unleaded from the pump.as long as it's unleaded it should'nt screw up the o2sensor.i've run race gas in my 68gto and my yz250 never had a problem.since the race gas will burn cleaner and it may cause it to run alittle leaner the ecm should compensate for it? is that correct?i know on fuel injected cars it's not a problem, but with a buell who knows?thats why i'm asking. |

I never ran straight race gas in any of my bikes. I always mixed half a tank of race fuel and half a tank of high octane pump gas. Of course all the bikes I did that on were carbed, and not FI. |

As long as the race gas is unleaded, you shouldn't have to worry about your O2 sensor. EFI will compensate to some degree for 'power adding' fuels such as Nutec or powermist. If its just a high octane 'stock car' gas your running in a stock motor, won't make a difference, may even lose a little power. FYI - i run 93 octane 10% RFG pump gas in a 12.7:1 XB style road race motor with no issue. You can get away with this with XB heads. Thunderstorms are a different story... |

I've mixed Exxon 110 w/ Exxon 91. About 3/4 of a gallon of the 110. After about 100 miles the exhaust pipe was most certainly cleaner. I don't think I noticed any performance difference at all but just from the cleanliness point of view I'll continue to do so. I'm planning on putting a few gallons in my truck as well. |

I ran VP Utlimate 4 in my Stock motor XB9. It took a few laps for the ECM to understand what was going on (Was getting some backfiring in the pipe for a bit) and then it ran strong and hard. www.vpracingfuels.com Ultimate 4 is an oxigenated 92 octane fuel. The bike does run stronger, I did notice and increase in power. This was a seat of the pants dyno with a long straight at the track to test top end. |

I've run on a full tank of race fuel...think it was between 103-106 octane..can't remember but it was a 76 brand of unleaded..Bike performed better and it didn't blow up. Think it cost me a little over 15 bucks to fill her up though. Can I use that stuff in my lawn mower? That is my question that nobody will answer. |

yea Jasonxb, you can use it in your lawnmower. I did. Well, my kid didn't know better, and filled my Kubota with 4 gallons of race fuel. I noticed it right away by the smell of the exhaust fumes. Sure did make those clippings fly further, it was really tearin' up the yard {not}.

I can get 110 Octane either unleaded or leaded. Does anyone know which would be better. The thing I noticed on the XB is that there is no sticker that says "UNLEADED FUEL ONLY". Somewhat confused.

DO NOT PUT LEADED FUEL IN YOUR MOTORCYCLE. PERIOD. |
