Hello, I am planning on removing the cheese grater and using the license plate bolt LED blinkers to replace the factory rear blinkers. I will also remove the front blinkers and use amber LED strips attached to the handguards for the new front blinkers. I am also looking for some inexpensive bar-end-mirrors or some ideas to attach mirrors onto the handguards. I know I will need to do some work for converting to LEDs, but I know its not complicated and will look into it further soon.

Has anyone else done this already or have any input and ideas?

You definitely need an LED flasher, nothing against American Sport Bike (which is where I got mine), but you can buy them in many auto stores for about the same price. If it is the only item you need, then getting it at the auto store makes more sense
