Has anybody put an s front end on an r model. Did a search but could not find any info or pics. Have another possible bueller, likes the r azz end and the s front end. |

I did the other way around, S to R front. Going from R to S is a bit more complicated because of the wiring. There's no room in the S front to place the ECM, fuse box, and bank sensors. That means you will have to change the rear to S, and install a new wiring harness. Easiest thing to do is change the top triple tree so that you can install an upright handlebar. |

What about putting an r subframe on an s? |

They are basically the same bike with the excetion of the subframe and headlight assembly. You would need to relocate some electricals between the front and the subframe. |

Putting the R tail on an S would probably be easier than the opposite. Putting an S front on means having to move ALL the major electricals. Doing the opposite, you may still have to relocate them, but only a few inches instead of the entire bike length. Aside from the roomier seats, you probably wouldn't gain much since most likely the R truck would be filled with relays, fuses, and ECM. |
