If I add these mods, do I need to disconnect the exhaust servo? I am hearing people with these mods installed are saying the bike vibrates more? how can that be? Do these mods "wake" the bike up some? BTW, mine is an 08 Thanks yall!!!

Mark, great looking bike by the way...yes you wil unhook the servo, its not needed anymore, it only works for the stock internal design....I don't know about extra vibration, don't think that would be an issue...if you need anything in the meantime please call me..yes it will wake it up, alot.... 828-381-7546 cell # Kevin Drum www.kdfab.com (Message edited by kds1 on May 02, 2011) |

With the race ecm from eBr you should be able to unplug the electric servo under the air box cover and take it completely off the bike without throwing a CEL. |

The Drummer pipe does not use the servo, so you would not be able to hook it up to the muffler. Being that it isn't needed anymore, you can remove the actuator itself from the airbox, and the Erik Buell Racing ecm will not throw a trouble code for a failed actuator. |

I have a similar set up with the Drummer SS. It was a huge improvement and you will be very happy with it. Kevin is a great person to deal with and makes a top notch product. Dont do what I did and buy the tunable ECM. In my opinion the bike itself does not shake its more exit of the exhaust if that makes any sense. Plus even if it did "shake" it will run and sound so damn good you wont even think about it. |
