Ive been riding this season probably 5 times since the spring has sprung and the other day i felt a minor jerking (like running out of gas) then my gas light turned on. I figured I had the bottom of the gas tank from the winter and got some bad gas. I filled up and still felt it a little bit. I went ahead and changed my plugs while at work (military work is hard lol) but on the way home at midnight it was jerking hard and my headlight would dim almost to nothing and then slowly get back to normal. Almost every 5 seconds. Anyone know what it might be? Harley said it may be a loose wire or a voltage regulator? my batt is perfect but i cant figure it out. Im getting stationed in San Fran soon from Michigan no more winters yay so I need to figure this this out. |

Check the 77 connector that goes between the generator and the regulator. |

yeah, the 77 connector is behind the front pulley cover, and it'll be the one with the thickest wires. there is a fix-kit for it, but you can cut off the plastic housing and just directly solder the wires together. you should do this wether or not this is what's causing your specific problem. |

Thanks a lot, Ill look at it today. I went ahead and put better plugs in (now that harley was open) and that made the jerking better but ill def. look at the wires. |
