Was thinking about creating a one-stop XB dedicated site in my free time. Not to take away traffic from Badweb (I'd of course link hardcore to Badweb!) but something easy to navigate the cream of the crop.... Like a tutorial section, engine/maintenance information...compatible parts...etc. I love the Badweb XB section just think I'd do something like this to make it easy for all XB owners. What do ya'll think? | ||

I made a FAQ section for the 1125 and Uly boards that has what you mention, I should probably do it for this section too... Then again we were supposed to be going to a new site program soon, but I'm not sure whats going on with that. Give me a few minutes, I'll make the new subsection, feel free to make new threads in it  | ||

hahah.. maybe it's just me... no offense to Badweb but it takes getting used to and all the other forums I visit regularly use Vbulettin or phpbb.... | ||

When we do switch to vBulletin (whenever that is), I will make sure there is a stripped down bare bones version similar to current Badweb. The beauty of the vBulletin is that you can have the user choose different layouts and themes, so if someone wants the barf bag theme, they can have it while the next person has a more colorful theme, and then signatures and stuff can be enabled or disabled based on user preference, not like here where its all or nothing. It would allow better moderating too, that way if person A abuses a feature, we can strip that feature from him and not penalize the rest of the user base. We used to have avatars and other similar goodies, but they slowly got taken away due to peoples obsession with trying to bend the rules and putting inappropriate content in it. | ||

Hopefully the changes don't get too crazy Froggy. I choose this site because it's not all tricked out and you can actually decipher good information without having to fight through all the graphics, colors, avatars, etc. This is a motorcycle information forum, not a cartoon or graphics design site. My 2 cents. | ||

Very cool Froggy. I wasn't planning on fancy graphics or anything... just very simple sidebar with "engine, cosmetic"..then links to the various writeups I've found here and other Buell forums. I've abandoned the idea...just stick to my own private collection of bookmarks and cut/pasted Word files |
