So as a few of you may have caught on to by now because this is a small community, I'm currently deployed and in the market for a buell. Buell of choice is the XB9r. They seem to be scarce in the for sale forum. Is buying used from a private seller my only avenue to buying? Is there any other source? As a side not the newer year model the better. | ||

try using 'searchtempest' to scan all the craigslist postings US-wide ebay? S -> R conversion? it can and has been done. and it's easier than an R -> S conversion i've even seen a lighting front and a uly seat/tail on a 1125 ... the stuff you see on here. 'takes all-kinds' ... | ||

Don't give up too quick... I was looking for MONTHS for a good deal on an XB9R that was close enough to where I could go get it. After month 3 IIRC, found "the ad" right here on Badweb. Got my loan, drove up to Gettysburg and brought home my machine. I know you might be getting antsy because of the upcoming season, but keep your hopes up. And check the classifieds like a madman!! | ||

The last year of the XB9R was 2007, so at this point any that you find will be most likely be used and by a private seller. I am sure there are a few floating around in dealer used inventories, but there is no easy way to search them. Keep your eye on cycletrader, ebay, craigslist, etc. | ||
