I was sitting eating my donut, waiting for some innocent person to come by so I could violate their rights, or trump up some phony charges on someone, and sure enough,... a Vanilla Ice looking guy rides by on a cool looking sport bike that is gawd awful loud. So, I pull him over and he tries to tell the exhaust is stock, and I say there is no way it is stock. Federal regulations cover emissions and noise at the exhaust. Then he tries to tell me Harley makes the bike, and that is bull, because Harley never made anything this cool. They might own the company that makes the thing... but that is not a Harley! SO... he proceeds to pull a laptop out of his backpack and shows me a web site with photos of a bike like his. The muffler didn't look anything like what he had, though it was in the same location. So I run him through the computer and see flags on him from DEA, IRS, EPA, FCC, FDA, and DOT. I figure if the feds got that much on an eye on him I will skip the excessive noise violation, the odor of marijuana coming from him & his backpack, and the contempt of cop attitude. He is his own worst enemy... I don't have to do anything... because at some point he will do himself. So, I let him go. He went into the Qwickie Mart and bought about $20.00 worth of twinkies! I bet that is gonna hurt and leave a mark when he loops that cool looking bike and lands on that laptop! Stoners are so dumb! | ||

I have been a very bad person... shame on me! I am thinking of putting a photo of a cop beating down a citizen on my profile. Wait... why is it funny when 420 does this stuff... and when I do it someone is offended??? I don't understand!!! | ||

Same reason certain factions of bike riders..ie Buellers..can rip on HD's with impunity, but let the HD riders rip on them & they cry. Its only funny when they do it. So far I've found that the only bad cops AND the only bad stoners are the ones who don't give any respect to the other... There are plenty of officers out there that are pretty cool (most if you ask me) and the same with stoners. Most of them are pretty cool too... It's those damn volvo drivin' soccer moms and yuppie "bikers" that bother me... Sorry. | ||

Hey, I am sure this will add fuel to the fire. I have met around 200 cops in my life. Some including family and "friends". I have one infraction in my life. Improper lane change. I "yessir" and "nosir" them. In return, I have had my property stolen by them (my brother sued and got his stuff back..in response , the cops kicked him off the Gang Task Force). I had my car torn apart. I have been run off the road by them. Forced out of my car at gun point. I don't do drugs or even drink. I've seen them grab my friend by his Yam Sack. I had one pinch my neck with a kubutan to demonstrate it to my career day class in high school. I have known "friends" who joined the police force. One believed pro wresting was real and the other like to intimidate people. I love flying planes but now I cannot go to the airport. Security guys with guns. The chances of me dying by terrorists is minimal compared to me dying by a cop. They have guns we don't. Attitudes will follow. These have occured to me in MANY STATES. I have left alot of other crap out. Oregon, they killed a kid being held hostage by a loon by SHOOTING THROUGH A WALL! A cop killer "hung" himself in the hospital after the shooting and he was paralyzed from the neck down. One here in Denver shot a mentally challenged kid with a knife. They settled out of court. I respect them but I pay their salary they should respect us back. Spare me the few bad apples BS...Apples don't kill you and laugh as they get away with it. Who watches the watchmen. Bad thread. No... but if everyone makes an effort... we can all get along, learn a few things, and have a few laughs, without making broad verbal attacks on someone because they are a ----, and we don't particularly like them, or have an opposing point of view or life style, or would never have them on our Christmas card list. I have met some dumb ones and some very smart ones. The smart one don't tend to draw attention to them self. They make choices in life... and as long as they accept the consequences for their actions, don't whine when they get them self into trouble, and are stand up guys... you can't totally fault the direction they chose to take with their life. Of course you might despise what they have done that adversely effects others, to include their families and loved ones. Life is a series of choices... living right is accepting the consequences for the choices we make. I remember once having a conversation about decision making. Someone said making a decision is hard. I disagreed. Often making the decision is easy, LIVING with the decision after it is made can be the hard part! So... I should not be "offended" by a picture in someone's profile from a movie where someone cuts a cops ear off, and it looks like he is about to have his throat cut. Or was that put there to purposely inflame someone, or does that mean if given the chance that person would take a blade to a cop for the fun of it, or the posting of the smiley face guy with guns does or doesn't imply something??? What would someone think if I had a photo on my profile of a cop beating down a citizen? It is all about perception. If you present yourself a certain way... people believe what they "see". Do we have to share every thought we have knowing it will inflame or offend someone? No. But doing so is part of lashing out at those we do not agree with, but should we assume everyone agrees with us, even if everyone we hang out with does? No. Do I think 420 would cut or shoot a cop? No! If making professional contact with him and seeing all this would I increase my level of perceived danger? Yes! This original thread was posted for humor,and just as some people don't like cops, and others are "offended" by flaming posts against them, does not make their post funny and this one offensive. It's all about perception, and point of view. If you laughed, that was my goal. If you flamed... I bet you laughed at the "Cops are so dumb thread". It's all a matter of perspective! Let's find something funny or constructive to post about... and like the above photo in this thread shows... Stop talking and start riding!!! | ||

Yes Das, couldn't agree more! Raraf, Your examples truly are tragic, but you present them as if they are the norm. Accidents will happen. 99.9 percent of all cops I've encountered were truly professional. I'm also sure the media would cover much more aggressively this cop threat if it existed. A few yessir's and nosirs' help and directly relates to Das's perception example. If I am cordial to a cop, he's less likely to feel threatened. If I'm rude, I'm sure he'll posture himself accordingly. You seem like a woe is me kinda guy and the truth is, the ball is in your court... I'm not trying to put you down at all, just saying that I don't believe that cops and their actions are as bad as the picture you painted. "They have guns, we don't" Does that scare you? It shouldn't? And no one is stopping you from owning one. Last I checked, it was still a protected right. I own many... I must respect your views, but as is obvious felt compelled to state mine, in hopes that I could somehow sway you. I know it won't, but what else is this board for? If anyone is stupid it's those 2 jerks playing on their bikes like on a couple of '83 CR50's without any gear on...As for the dual purpose Buell, I have yet to see the point in that one - simply not made in any possible sense for that type of riding - give me a KTM 950 adventure or even a YZ450 - Buells & dirt just don't mix... 420 - as for "blow me troll"... I didn't know you being of that inclination. |
