Quick, easy project: I wanted to do something like this, but didn't want to spend the money, so I got 1/2" reflective tape from Applied Graphics and it turned out like this. Took me about $15 and one hour total. Looks great, at least I think so, and that's all that matters right? Hardest part is keeping the tape at a constant radius. The wheels use 1/2" and the dash uses 1/4". I have about 1/2 roll left of the 1/2" and only used about 2 feet of the 1/4" so I can add more later, or use it for other stuff. |

I did mine in red stripes on the wheels, screen and airbox cover, then blacked out the frame, subframe and swingarm. http://www.sportbikes.com/photo/showphoto.php/photo/8944/size/big/password//sort /1/cat/500 http://www.sportbikes.com/photo/showphoto.php/photo/8943/password//sort/1/size/b ig/cat/500/page/ http://www.sportbikes.com/photo/showphoto.php/photo/8943/password//sort/1/size/b ig/cat/500/page/ http://www.sportbikes.com/photo/showphoto.php/photo/8941/password//sort/1/size/b ig/cat/500/page/ I've gotta get some better pictures during the day with the black out treatment. |

Ah yes, it was you who gave me the idea. In fact, I almost did the airbox cover and screen just like that too. Glad I didn't, I might be under trademark infringement! |

I have been thinking of doing some tribal tatoo art on there in place of the stripes... you might consider that. |

I used the reflective helmet graphics from the same place for my airbox cover. They flames look almost black until the sun hits them just right.

That's that reflective vinyl you can get from the sign supply place. I use that to add graphics to my helmet. It lights up when the headlights hit it as well. Makes it a little safer and more visible for the cagers out there.

I found a place once that sells universal vinyl kits for bikes with flames, tiger stripes, LIGHTNING BOLTS, etc. I want to do lightning on the airbox and the screen. I just need to find that place back or figure out a way to cut lightning out of a blank reflective sheet. |

I added some more pictures to this site. It shows some more of the "titanium" parts I changed to black. http://www.sportbikes.com/photo/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=43902 |

These are the lightning bolts I was talking about: http://www.tapeworks.com/Pages/5511.html#anchor1081074 But I wouldn't be covering the entire bike, just a few bolts, so I can't see ordering the entire kit. |

I believe tapeworks will do custom order stuff. You can definately get any of their stuff in any color you want. You might call and ask about a partial kit. |
