My bike was involved in a zero speed tipover on both sides. Right afterwards, when I tried to shift it into gear, you could hear a positive click, but the bike would not move forward at all. I have adjusted the clutch literally 35-40 times in the past two weeks, with the best result being :the rear wheel will roll free (slight resistance) when I engage my lever, and the bike will act normally under light or slow loads, but as soon as I give it real throttle, it tachs up with no forward movement. I'm worried that I damaged my plates or something else at this point, does anyone have any suggestions before I pull my clutch out? |

Your primary cover might be damaged. I would suggest popping the cover off and giving it a visual inspection. |

The best thing you can do right away is get your hands on a Service Manual. I have adjusted the clutch literally 35-40 times in the past two weeks Where were you doing your adjustments? |

Have a service manuel. Doing the adjustment at the screw under the cover, just like the service manuel said. Also, doing the adjustment at the midway point in the cable. Then doing a combo of both. I'm pretty sure I hit every possibility as far as adjustments. I'm just having a VERY hard time believing that I gotta bigger problem than an adjustment after a tip-over.... |

Did you watch the video of the clutch adjustment? there is a summary post up in the knowledge vault with written description and crappy video showing the written description in action. Yes I'm allowed to call it a crappy video, you'll see why when you look at the post. I should really redo that video now that I have some close up lenses I can use and should take the time for a tripod. |

Sounds like the lip in the primary cover might have broke off. |

Greg, I found the video very helpful, but I had seen it before. I guess this weekend the primary gets pulled off... |

I have a question. How did it have a zero speed tipover on both sides? I have been going over that and it hurts my brain. As 03worc9r said, I would take a look at the lip in the primary cover. |

Update, I've pulled the cover, lip fine. Pulled the clutch, can't see anything obviously wrong. Gonna put the new plates and spring in. As for a tipover on both sides? It's pretty easy to explain. Someone was not thinking very well, and forgot to put the sidestand down when righting the bike after the first tipover, hence, the second one. |
