Has anyone checked out www.westcoastchoppers.com lately? Click on "the hood" tab and then the red tricked-out sport bike. This thing is sick! I've been waiting for someone to do a custom V-twin sportbike. Just a matter of time I guess. See even Jesse think V-twin sport bikes are cool! Any thoughts? |

He is actually doing a few changes with his life right now. Admitted that the fame & fortune was getting to his head & swelling his already oversized ego. |

I also saw that bike, on a show or in a rag, can't remember. I do remember Honda gave him an exorbitant amount of $$$ and a free bike and said go for it. They were expecting a chopper. You can imagine the execs' faces when he rolled that out! |

Jesse James actually came to my camp in Kuwait after the war. there was like, only a couple hundred Marines there, and it was a half hour from the big army camp he was at, in the middle of nowhere, and he came out there. The guys got cool points forever in my book. he came out with a few others, but hey, thats more than most of the other dupes on TV can say. |

Here's another "custom" V-twin sportbike. I wouldn't consider these to be Buell competition. Buell has great handling and prices around $10k, this bike is probably just for looks. For $20k you have to build it yourself? Come on! http://www.customchrome.com/hr3/vbike.asp |

I was looking at the build pics of the bike and it would seem to me that one could probably twist that "frame" w/o trying too hard... |

Yeah, I know...Buell has nothing to worry about. I just watched Motorcycle Mania 3 on the Discovery Channel and saw the bike on WCC's website. I thought it was pretty cool to build a sport bike with a huge V-twin. I know this bike is one of a kind, not something that would go into production. I thought I would just share... |

I only caught the last 15min. of MM3 last night but I thought the Jesse James Kid Rock combo was pretty classic. These are two blue collar americans getting paid for something they are passionate about. Hate em if you will, but how many of ya'll can say the same about what you do? |

About that JJames bike--love it, but I think it'd look better in Buell Nuclear Purple (or whatever they call the paint they used to use on S1 frames). Gotta love the exposed shaft drive and "inboard" rear brake (what else can you call it?)--I guess they gotta lose all the unsprung weight they can. Glad there is at least some protection for yer ankle there. |

I saw this bike on display at the Long Beach Motorcycle show last december. It is (or was) a Honda VTX 1800; HOnda paid him something like $175K to customize it. They made a short film about the project that was shown at the Honda display, along with an article in a chopper magazine. Really cool bike. Strangely, I saw Torque on DVD last night too. Man, that movie stank. |

I fell asleep halfway thru it. Too much boring "acting" & not enough riding. Biker Boyz sucked too but at least it had lots of bike scenes. |

Yeah fake bike scenes. When was the last time you saw a ZX12R full throttle accelerate on any thing but a dry street or race track with out fishtailing and laying on its side. Let alone racing a GSXR1300R. B.S. the ending pissed me off I hate when Hollywood makes everything look so easy. Thats why new riders buy 1000cc sportbikes and wrap them up. Noone takes the time to "learn" how to ride. Anyone can go 130MPH on a ZX9R in a straight line just hold the throttle and shift.Sorry Im just venting it just pisses me off. |
