When I got the bike there were very small scratches on the header barely noticeable (but to me they stick out like a sore thumb). From what I can tell it was from the bike tipping over. What I'm wondering, is there a way to buff them out without destroying the original look of the header? |

I used a wire wheel on a cordless drill for rhe larger areas and a dremel tool for the smaller areas. |

Wouldn't that leave grind marks worse than the original scratches? |

A wire wheel will no scar it up. You won't be able to fix one spot so go ahead and polish them up. One other thing I used was foam sanding blocks 60 grit with some WD-40. There are plenty of threads on here about polishing headers and if the site search function don't work use google. |
