Here is an idea for some hard bags for the XB9S. Anybody want to try to make them? |

Wait until I get some custom brackets made for my XB9R to mount Givi cases. It might be a little ugly because the cases are generic, but it will be functional. I just got mounting brackets and will start working on brackets to mount it to where the passenger pegs mount.... If it works it should be applicable to any XB model. |

I still want to see a H-D Tour Pak on a Buell. |

Speaking of HD...any word on factory hard bags from Buell? Didn't they have a "sport touring" model with the older tube frame bikes? It seems it would be really easy for them to make one kit that would fit all XB models. In the meantime I have to build my own! |

I have thought about building some. Any ideas about some stainless hinges and locks? |

By building my own I mean I bought some Givi mounts and will build brackets to mount those to the bike in the appropriate location. The Givi cases are real nice, light, lockable, and easily removable. The one I'm looking at are 36L each and go for $125ea new....or cheaper on eBay if you can find them. Some other bikes (BMW or KLR?) have checkered plate hard cases on dual sport or something. But they're pretty heavy and probably bulletproof! |

Cold - That sounds like a good idea and I would love to see pictures when you are done. I was thinking about making some CF hard bags. Much more work and probably not as practical as what you have in mind. |

At this year's Homecoming, there was one bike that got a lot of attention: Those are Ducati Multistrada mounts/bags. I forget the owner's name but he did a really nice job on it. |

I did a little measuring tonight, so I can draw up some brackets to have machined. This is really crude because I just propped it up and then took a picture with a crappy camera phone. The brackets I got are official Givi. Those pics above of the 12S look like Givi mounts, but the bags don't look familiar as a Givi shape?

Here, I wasted the 5 minutes to Photoshop the 36L Givi bag onto a pic of my bike. This is approximately how I intend to mount the cases.
