i have a buell xb9r and was running 5th gear and all of a sudden the bike lost 5th gear acting like nuetral as well as 4th and i can still run 1,2, and 3rd???? any suggestions. |

Yes - I'd suggest posting this isn the correct forum (i.e. NOT the 1125R one) however that does sound like a transmission problem right enough |

Main 5th gear output bearing? But no one can really ever know until it's apart. You'll figure it out then. |

I recommend you adjust the clutch according to the owners manual procedures first. The clutch bearing ramp is very particular about its positioning. |

Yeah when the ol trans acts up she gotta come apart. Get yourself a manual take your time if your not sure read then re read before you do your own work. If your still not sure check the book again or have it open with you. They are not terribly hard just remember the TOOL aint right the guy aint bright. |
