Is anyone running a 190 rear tire on a 07 or newer XB ? I did a search in some older threads on the subject , but all I could find was 190's on 06 XB's back . The newer bikes , like my 07 , have a updated swing arm . It looks wider on the sides than the older version , and I noticed the tire tread is very close in front .

On the same subject , what year did they change the swing arm ? 07 ?

I ran a 190/50 on my 08. I did have to remove the plastic lower belt guard. I have since went back to a 180. I like the look of the 190, but the feel of the 180 better.

Yeah , thats what I am thinking Xbgeorge . I am afraid the handling might suffer with the 190 . But it sure looks cool .

The 190 comes in 190/50 and 190/55. The 190/55 is taller and is ran on most, if not all, liter sport bikes. Because the 190/55 is taller, I have heard of it rubbing on the front part of the swing arm. That is only internet knowledge on my part, as I haven't seen one in person. The 190 was too slow to turn in for my liking. It took more of pressure to keep the bike down in the corners, compared to the 180/55. This was especially true when it started to wear down in the middle. Being from Illinois, the middle always wears faster.
