Hi all, I've spent the last few days using your forum to research an 05 xb12r I'd been looking at at home. I'm happy to say that today I sent the money off and took the plunge... Consequently, I thought I should post up and thank you all for your informative help. Hopefully I'll be home to see her in a few weeks, it kinda sucks not being able to play with my new toy. Of course, northern Japan's still under a few feet of snow, so I guess I'm not missing much... Now seems to be the part where I should usually ask "hey guys, what should I look at for upgrades?" Fortunately, the previous owner went ahead and took care of that for me. It's advertised as having the racing kit, but that doesn't look like the correct exhaust, it does, however, have the Erik Buell Racing ECM. Closer inspection shows it's been set up for track time, and the BT003's mounted definitely seem to back that up. All this wrapped in to a neat little package with less than 4000k on it... Works for me, Rte 394 is like a public racetrack anyway... Again, thanks all for helping me make the decision to take the plunge. I'll report back in a few weeks when I get a chance to take her out to the mountains!

Thats a JARDINE RT-1 exhaust. Yeah in a way it's a good race pipe, however they do need repacking, the engine pulse knocks th shit out of them. Welcome and Enjoy ya new toy. |
