Hey Guys, just purchased my first Buell and I can't seem to get off of it. I grew up on dirt bikes, and kick myself for waiting this long to hit the street. What a gnarly bike! I purchased a 2004 XB12s Lightning with a few parts missing: 1. Chin Spoiler 2. Passenger Brackets/Pegs(silver) I've spent hours looking online, but have come up empty. My bike has the red fairings(not translucent cherry bomb) with amber wheels. I'd like the spoiler to match. Does anyone have these items for sale, or can point me in the right direction to find them? Thanks in advance for your time! I appreciate your help! Richard |

you can order them new threw the dealerships. If you do not have a dealer that sells buell parts go to the sponsor section on this site and pick one of the buell dealers and order from those guys. I know Bumpus HD/Buell will deliver and are good guys. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/171 43/17143.html?1299440192 |

Welcome [to the madness]!! I've got red side pieces but not the gray chin bar section. Don't need them, let me know if you'd like them ($25) after you look at the options out there. Strangely enough I've got some red passenger peg brackets I bought on ebay, I thought I'd paint or re-pc them black or some other neutral color. I then found some i didn't have to mess with for cheap so bought them too. Not sure what to ask on them, I'll check paypal for a price I paid. I'd be happy to snap some pics for you. Just shoot me a PM. |

I have a magnesium or gold colored center piece you can have if you pay shipping if you get the side pieces from littlebuggles. then all you have to do is either bolt them together or rivet them. |

Hey thanks for the quick responses and offers. I talked with Bumpus H/D and realized I have a little work to do if I want to add the spoiler. I have a lightning, which didn't originally come with the chin spoiler(firebolt only, didn't know that), so I'd have to locate the brackets as well. My real challenge on this is I have a drummer exhaust and my pipes have a more vertical drop off the front of the heads than the factory pipes which for lack of better terms, wind down the side back to the front, which would create mounting issues as well. I don't know if the center piece would touch or block. I think it might. Firebolt020283 and Littlebuggles, let me do some checking on the mounting piece of this puzzle and get back to you. Iman501, I checked with buellsterparts.com, but they don't currently have what I need. Thanks again fellas! I appreciate your time on this! Richard |

Littlebuggles, on the passenger brackets, let me know what you think on price. I may take you up on those. I've got an '04 XB12s Lightning for purposes of making sure the pegs work for me? What bike did those pegs come off of? Richard |

All XB models have a chin spoiler from the factory. It mounts to the original muffler. You need to post up a pic of the exhaust. If Odie did it, and its made from an OEM can it will have the mounts already on it. It sounds like you have some sort of aftermarket header too. |

You're correct on the mods. I have full engine swap with Axtell top end, big bore, ported filter, full chain conversion, and a drummer exhaust. There are no brackets on the can. I'm trying to upload pics but its giving me an error that the pixel size is too large??? I'll see if I can figure out how to do this?? |

netty if you have a photobucket account you can just upload them to photobucket and post the IMG code to here so that you do not have to worry about pixel size limits. |

Also if it is an original drummer it should have the brackets how ever if it is a SS drummer you would have to order the brackets from KDfab. |

Interesting and disappointing if that's the case. Truth be told, I purchased the bike two weeks ago from a guy and that is what he told me. I'm new to street bikes so I had no frame of reference to work from. I didn't have reason to question him otherwise. I have the paperwork from NRHS Performance who did the engine work, but as I comb through it, there isn't anything about installation of the exhaust. I guess he's got some questions to answer. |

this is the drummer web site. http://www.kdfab.com/ if you look at the pictures of the drummer and drummer ss you will see it does not look like either of those. |

WOW. Ya have a few things going on there. I would get a chin fairing, in your color of choice, and maybe get the Jardine fairing brackets. That would be the cheapest and easiest route. Then you could leave that killer exhaust on there. If the motor is built, and the whole thing is fuel mapped for the set-up: Leave it: Ride the piss out of it!!!!!!!! Have fun and be safe!!!!! |

It looks nice. I have to wonder about it a bit though, since I know with the tuber exhausts they lengthen the pipes for better power. These pipes are definitely shorter than stock. Definitely not a Drummer, but that doesn't mean it's a bad pipe. Do you have a dyno from the bike? I'm pretty sure passenger peg brackets are inter-changeable between all models. I forgot I've got black heel guards and some spare pegs lying around too. Let me see what I find in the garage for you. Sorry I didn't get back to you on that today. I start a few days off, so I'll be able to get back to you after a bit of sleep Tuesday. |

Definitely a good color combination and looks like it has some race preparations! with the engine work and exhaust. it also has a chain and if it does have a race swingarm to!? show us a picture from the whole bike okay!? |

Interesting day after playing P.I.! Talked to several people regarding the mystery exhaust including forwarding detailed invoices to the company who performed the modifications that were given to me at time of sale. Here are their stances: Seller: I had all work done at the same time, same place, I paid for a Drummer......its a Drummer. I promise you I did not intentionally misrepresent. KDFab: it's not one of ours. NRHS V-Twin Performance(completed all engine mods): I remember this bike and we put a Micron Exhaust on the bike that has since been discontinued. In his opinion, the Micron is "the best Buell Exhaust ever made, its 3 times that of Drummer!" So we've concluded you gents are correct, its not a Drummer! But if NRHS is correct and that statement holds true, its win-win?!? Either way, its a bad ass bike and I've had nothing but a great time riding it.

It's a cool bike to be sure! It's not a Micron exhaust though. I can't remember, but there was a thread not too long ago about that very exhaust. The Micron it had on it may have self destructed, they are know to do that. NRHS is a very reputable engine builder, no worries there. You have a chain conversion, not a race swingarm, no worries there either, just an FYI. I'd be willing to bet that what you have there is a Great American Grin Machine! |

Well I guess I wont know what it really is, but either way it sounds meaty and at my level of experience on the street it runs faster than I'm willing to run it! NRHS was more than willing to talk with me and look at pictures today, and try to figure it out. They were very helpful on several fronts. They said it was a Micron, but I don't have the experience otherwise so I'll defer to you guys! I'm thinking brother in buells was hoping for my benefit that it was a race swing arm!! What deems a race swing arm? Do you have a pic for my education? |

the race swing arm is adjustable like a normal swing-arm for other bikes. That pipe is definatly not a micron.
