Well, I just got back from the sandbox, also known as Afghanistan. My fiancée was nice enough to store all of my junk until I got back. So far, I've only put on a few things. I put on the carbon scoops, the carbon heel plates, voltage monitor, a new dash from xbdashboards, a front tire and a tail light from XBlights. It's awesome! I have a longer list of things to go on later. A quick rundown of things to come would be a hidden 2 pot Brembo caliper and wavy rotor, complete ZTL2 setup for the front, shift light, H.I.D. headlight timer, all carbon scoops and body, some awesome Erik Buell Racing stickers from the man himself, saddlebags for longer rides, XB9 primary gear and chain, plus some small touches here and there like mirror block-off plates from GSD, and black reflective tape for better night time visibility. That's about all for now. I'll gladly keep updates as soon as I can. pictures to follow soon! |

Thanks everyone. This deployment went slower than the last one. Maybe it was because I had my Buell in a storage shed...
(by the way, I ordered the solo carbon cowl from Al at American Sport Bike. That man is AWESOME!) More picture to follow very soon!!!!! |

Thank you, thank you everyone. I forgot to mention the CRG levers I bought too. I love them! Well worth the money paid. Iman501, here's some info. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/384 2/444203.html?1237318901 http://cgi.ebay.com/DEI-DIRECTED-528T-PULSE-TIMER- RELAY-MODULE-CAR-ALARMS-/140518077745?pt=LH_Defaul tDomain_0&hash=item20b787b531#ht_1841wt_821 I did some looking, and this seems like it would fit the bill quite nicely. And as far as the yellow plastics, it all depends if I feel like selling them or not. They're in really good shape, so I know they are worth keeping, or selling to someone who needs them. HAHAHA And the helicopters these days, a little more advanced than the AH-1J were. We use the AH-1W for now, working on getting the Zulus over there. We already have the UH-1Y Super Hueys over there. Not to mention the CH-53 Deltas and Echos. We also have MV-22 Ospreys there too. I work on dynamic components, so I actually get to work on every single bird we have in inventory. Been doing it for almost 4 years now. I think it's about time to become a pilot so I can fly the things I have worked on. |

Welcome home and thanks for your service. I was in Iraq in 2004. Good looking bike you have there. I bought a XB9SX when I first got home and could walk again. Then I traded that in on a Harley, but I always loved the Buell's so when Harley shut them down I had to buy another one. Ended up with a 2009 XB12R in White. Enjoy yourself and have some fun. |

Waiting on American Sport Bike to get in the wavy rotor for the front. Once it comes in, I'll put on the ZTL2 system I have. I can't wait!

Welcome home! Maybe paint the engine/primary black to match the rest of the bike?? |

When I put the gearing reduction kit on the bike, I plan on painting the primary cover. This fall, if I rebuild the motor with a 1250 kit and stage two heads, I plan on using the black cylinders and heads. Black will be my favorite color until they come up with something darker... hahahaha And as far as the yellow plastics I'm taking off, I wanna clean them up before I decide to sell or not. So... |

I thought about getting the carbon frame covers, bud decided I would rather have the frame pucks instead, just in case. But, I was considering... I was also thinking about getting the carbon flavored puck covers from American Sportbike. The blinkers, are gixxer model, flush-mounts from fleabay. I think they were $7 including shipping. I currently use the blinkers on the mirrors, they just seem to be a little brighter IMO. Once I put the carbon fairing on, I'll be using them though. |

If you are not familiar with it, the black reflective tape is a semi-gloss finish. (Message edited by Greg_E on March 06, 2011) |

And, I know, it's already been done, but I just wanted to show a picture of the timer that I chopped and soldered. I hope to have it put on this weekend with the tensioner.
