it is new, 49 miles, but it has been "molested" by a dealer, I think for the better, tell me what yall think. They did the Cherry bomb Treatment to it, including the red wheels. and they tried to sell it to a shorter customer, so they actually installed a the rear shock from a Xb9sl........... How will this effect the handling, do I need to adjust the front forks, will my geometry be funky?
I like it, then again mine was a cherry bomb red to, now it changed to blue. Will probably change back and forth.. I would wonder about the suspension... I don't know myself but if it were me I would try to find somebody who does.
I am concerned about the suspension, I guess worse case scenario is to re-install the original shock. They are checking to see if its still around..................
if it is the low shock from an xb9sl, can I have it? I'll trade you the stock shock from my xb9s
being 5'1" I can use all the help I can get, the low seat only did so much and with it's very little padding. . . not always the most comfortable ride.
Yes, I sold my white Stt! I had a tax issue! and was forced to sell, the tax issue was resolved in my favor and so I no longer needed to sell, but had already commited the bike to somebody else and they had paid me for it.................
So I was back in the market again for an XB.
Yes it came from Bartels Harley in Marina Del Rey. Maybe the salesman doesn't know what he is talking about, or maybe these pics were taken before they swapped out the rear shock.
If I do need to replace the shock back to stock, do I need the white springed STT shock?
just got confirmation the spring is yellow........ this might be a good thing, since I'm having trouble paddling around on my old Stt due to its heighth,
When I installed a lowering block for a Kawasaki Versy I had, they recommended I lower the front forks 3/4 inch. If I keep the yellow shock on this Stt should I adjust the front forks?
Try dropping the front on the tubes. Can't recall but if you do have the "low" shock on the back, you'd want about a 1 inch drop (or more) on the front to bring it back in balance.
One of my badweb brothers has offered me a white shock so I'm set. Now I need to order a right side scoop and a Buell comfort kit to mitigate the heat on the right side of the bike...................... I'm also gonna order another set of drop pegs and 1" risers for a more relaxed riding position. I'll probably do the drummer once I receive the bike.
sweet bike...the STT is on my dream bike list and it is all Danger_Daves fault. Ever since I watched his youtube video he made about them I have wanted one.
