anyone take it apart? do you need a spring compressor? I want to paint the spring. blue has to go. |

Do NOT just undo it... Springs kill people. You can get spring compressors from a place like auto zone for about $20. The ones I got are made for the smaller diameter car springs that you would see on a small car but I used them on the front springs of my old Mach-1 w/o dieing (There were a few tense moments though when putting the springs pack in). |

I still have all my limbs.. yeah I got the manual, show me where it takes the shock apart, I see they show how to take it out. maybe I'm not looking in the right spot. ahh, its sunny out I'm gonna ride yeah, I think green just wondering if someone had done it.. |

I don't think they consider that a user servicable component. You'll probably have to contact the manufacturer of the shock itself for info. |

I'm gonna agree with Mike on that. Out of curiousity, what would you have to add to the paint to keep it from flaking off as soon as the spring compressed? |
