Okay what is this "snorkel" that everyone is talking about on the 9rs? Is there one on the 12r and if so, has anyone removed it? Semper Fi Tatsu

its INSIDE the air intake on the left side of the bike its a rubbber tube type think im not sure if anyone HAS removed it but i dont see why u shouldnt it frees up the breathing |

They are removed on the 9 and 12 with the installation of a factory racing kit. Theoretically the removal will increase the amount of flow into the intake system. |

Yes I took it out of my 12R. Runs through the frame from the left side air scoop into the airbox outside the filter. Leave the stack inside the filter in place. Best done with a change to the race filter. You can do both without any other changes like ecm etc.. Great pictures in the Knowledge Vault. My bike does seem to run better.
