Hey everyone. I just wanted to Let you know that Dadams is now making a XB muffler. Its all stainless steel. The muffler itself is a magnaflow muffler with Dean's special touch. The sound reminds me of a drummer. At idle it has a really low rumble. Its probably the best sounding XB pipe I've heard and I've heard them all. It really brings out the low end power. Any questions just ask dadams here on the badweb or check out his site www.keda-design.com under the sponsor section. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-kFGTK5mi8 |

Bring your bike to my shop and try it out! I haven't shipped it back to him yet from polishing. It does sound good.... Mellow not tinny, deep but not D&D loud. I expected it to be louder than it was, and we were inside my 1000 sf front room. I didn't get a chance to be outside when XB9er rode past. And when XB9er says he's heard them all...He means it. I don't know of a single can, except for maybe the carbon fiber Drummer, that he hasn't had on his or my bike. |

Dan, keep it there if you need to for testing, etc. |

Dean,if you don't have a problem with it I'd like to test it out for a couple hundred miles to see if my head rings afterwards! I could get to Toona's possibly this weekend if the weather holds. Let me know, Thanks |

The one I built...not nearly as pretty though. Had mine on nearly a year now.

Jon, PM sent. Kevin, what exactly do you want? This was just a test pipe to see what it sounded like and how it performed. Yes, it's a car muffler. It's been done before, I just wanted to try doing it myself before I commit to a lot of custom cut shells to do my own design. I did a dual 3.5" round shell exhaust earlier, it worked pretty good for my first time out on an XB. A 10% gain from the baseline isn't anything to sneeze at. |

I am sorry Dean , did not mean to come off that way . I think you do nice work . I understand why you did it , to provide a less expensive option for people . And there is a lot of time and money involved in building a model specific muffler (like your dual pipe). I just have a personal thing about car parts on motorcycles . But thats just me .

I don't mean any disrespect to anyone when I say this, but Buell put a lot of thought into the stock muffler with the computer-actuated servo valve design. How are these more primitive designs (again, no disrespect, but they are) able to achieve better results? Are they top end improvements with a sacrifice to bottom end, or what? ~SM |

The Buell Race pipe is primitive too? |

Basically, they need more volume inside the exhaust. The magnaflow muffler seems to work pretty good and I also had good results with the other pipe I tried. Both would benefit from tuning. Buell was also restricted by the EPA for sound. |

Dean, that pipe does look really good...it took a nice polish! I KNOW how good it sounds |

Will there be a bracket available if someone wants to keep their chin fairing? Jet coated black would look sweet on my bike. It's no louder than the Buell Race pipe is it? |

I don't have a bracket available at this time. If it's something that you've got to have, I can look into it. My preferred material of choice is 304 stainless, so it's not going to be super cheap. I can probably get a template made up to have them laser cut, but even so, it's still going to cost extra. |

The Jardine brackets will most likely do the job. |

Dean, I want a set of brackets, I think I lost the ones for my Micron. |

What do you mean, you "think" you lost them? |

If you have been in my garage you would understand. I am sure they are buried under the bent XB forks and Blast carburator. |
