i'd say te micron is the best bolt-on set up for buell, but those are even more rare. dunno what it is but these race kits have been poping up everywhere as of recently. i guess the hoarders are cleaning out thier closests. |

They were $350 or so from the dealers a few years back. How nostaligic! |

That's a ridiculous price for that. Maybe it costs $800 to polish the muffler. |

That muffler is not polished, it is ceramic coated. |

That's been on there for awhile.. I think he just will keep posting until somebody wants it bad enough to put up the $. What I don't get, if the race can is so good why doesn't any after market guy just make one? A little different maybe for legals. That can is turning up lesws and less though. Except, of course, the couple that keep getting posted for over a grand... |

Erik Buell Racing was supposedly going to put the race muffler back into production last year around April. Then there were supplier issues and that changed to July. From there, I'm not sure what happened. I still think the race muffler would sell in droves for the right price. The sound was louder than stock, but decently quieter than a Drummer. I received quite a few compliments on my race can when I had one. Overall, the bike ran excellent with it. (Message edited by 1324 on February 08, 2011) |

I saw just the race can go for over $900 on eBay not too long ago. Being that's the entire kit and brand new, I don't think its unthinkable that he could get that much. He has it listed on eBay as well, FYI. |

In '03 the Buell Race Kit cost something like $600 installed. I've run several exhausts since then, each time going back to the Buell kit. It's pretty quiet while riding, but open it up and it gets pretty loud. |

i have to agree with glitch on this, i love my race kit, and am thank full i snagged one of the last ones out of the dealership, that is still a bit steep on the price though, in the last couple of years i have run into a few other buell riders and they all ask what kind of exhaust i have on mine, so im guessing its sort of rare, |

that is still a bit steep on the price though, Only if it never sells. I wonder if anyone has gotten in touch with him about coming down on the price any. Hell, make him an offer, the worst that could happen is he could say "no" |
