Hi folks, I'm a new Buell owner, yeah you guessed it, a 2010 XB12Ss. I've really enjoyed reading through this site and felt it was time to say hi. My bike is mostly stock, I've added sliders and some aftermarket mirrors that I like better than the stock ones as well as putting heated grips on it; but most of my money has gone into new riding gear; Boots, gloves, jacket, and helmet, along with the Lee Parks Total Control riding class (which was great!) I'm getting a new seat soon and investing in some heat barrier stuff for the frame and exhaust. My question for the day is this: I know there were 7013 of the XB12Ss built according to this website (to cut and paste from the XB board page: XB12Ss Lightning Stretched (Longer wheelbase version of XB12S. 7013built) How many of those were 2010 models? Thanks for any insight, again I've really enjoyed checking out the site and look forward to learning more in the future. |

How many of those were 2010 models? Due to the way H-D counts bikes, the world may never know... |

How did the website come up with the 7013 number? I'm wondering if there is a way to count all those prior to 2010 and then assume the number left over are the 2010 models... |

The numbers were provided by Harley by model for the total production run, they never broke it down by year and color and such. If you give Harley Davidson Customer Service a call, they might be able to get you in touch with someone with that info. |

So, looking around a bit recently and came across some pics of "the last manufactured Buell XB." See link below... There is one picture of the date of manufacture sticker and picking up my Buell owners manual I found what all the numbers in the VIN represent...come to find out the last 5 are "sequential numbers" the pic shows 00357 so I assuming that means 357 Buell's (not model specific, or is it?) were made in 2010...does this seems like a reasonable number of total 2010 Buell's made or even total XB's made in 2010? http://mods.buellxb.com/ |

It isn't entirely sequential, they skipped numbers, and some bikes left the assembly line out of order for various reasons. |

*bump* 2008 XB12Ss stats -- would be interesting to see how "rare" my Cherry Bomb Red is. :-) |

Not as rare as the stats above If I do manage to get my hands on more, I'll post them. Those stats above were leaked onto the 1125board, so I made sure a copy ended up on here just for exposure. |

Froggy, Very nice, thanks for posting. Where did this info come from originally? I'm wondering how reliable the original source. You say "leaked" wondering what that means... thanks again for finding. |

Thought I'd bump this again to see if I could get some numbers on the 2009 stuff as well as the 2008 question mentioned above... Froggy, manage to get any more stats? |
