anyone know where i can get one? called the dealer, they're clueless.... the service manual part numbers didn't seem to help them at all...

does anyone know how to hold the sprocket some other way?

thanks but i'm talking about the transmission output sprocket for the drive belt...

Put it in gear and use the back brake if your engine is installed, or if not, get yourself a posh Snap On 18V impact gun and hold the sprocket with a gloved hand...

Every time I have ever tried to by a tool from Harley, they said if I wasn't a tech working at a dealership, I couldn't get one.

pash is right, i thought i was in for a nightmare not removing the sprocket before pulling the engine. Jims i beleve has one of those tools, but an impact wrench on my widdle air compressor and a gloved hand and it came off no probs... its getting powdercoated now

I believe American Sportbike sells the tool you need.The hinge is a great idea.Maybe 3 bucks?
