Hey Guys, I'm debating on whether I should purchase the 51 liter Ventura bag for my Ventura rack. My current setup consists of the following: But, here's one of the bags I'm considering: Does anybody out there have this setup? How do you like it? Any opinions are appreciated. Thanks, Nick |

I have the ventura set up. I like it. Maybe a little ugly IMHO, but very convienent. The bag comes on and off with two clips so you can take it with you. Also you can take the sissy bar looking thing of and replace it with a grab bar, or 6-pak rack. It seemed very pricey new but I got a really good deal on one used. Also you can zip 2 bags together for even more room. I think I can even use my saddle bags with it. Not that I ever need that much storage (yet) my big thing is you can ride 2 up with it and with the buell xb luggage you can't. |

Nickh, I just installed the Ventura system with that same bag on my Ss. I was previously using a Givi 45L topcase on my GS and KLR. The Ventura bag can carry everything the topcase could. However, the one advantage to the topcase is the large opening when you pop the lid. The Ventura's main opening could be bigger, in my opinion. In fact, the side pockets suffer from this a bit as well. That being said, I'd much rather have the Ventura bag based on the positioning (not hanging way off the back) than the topcase. The KLR and GS were a bit better in that regard simply because the were larger bikes and could keep most of the topcase over the rear tire. |

I have that setup and I use it every day. It works great. I usually run with the bag over the seat like shown in the pic. In it's normal position, I don't like how it obstructs the tail light from the large SUV types if they are on the phone and tail gating. |

The bag came with my rack when I bought it for my 1125R last fall, it works fantastic. Only thing I could wish for is waterproofness. |

Nick I have both setups m but I took one of the brackets that came with the ventura setup and cut, welded it back together backwards so the topcase was over the seat. Still have the big bracket for the 51L ventura bag but probably won`t go back. Givi stays dry, Givi stays locked

Gaza, that's a pretty good set-up. All the advantages of both systems. |
