i have a white 03 XB9R and wanna swap it to an XB9S....how hard is this swap? anyone do it on here...thanks for your time..mike |

Its been done dozens of times. I am sure you can find a write-up if you do a search for it. The rear end swap is pretty simple, front end not so simple due to the fairing bracket has to be changed and the headlight wiring is different. |

to change the front you will have to change th wiring harness because the ECM is held in front fairing on the r and it is in the back of the bike on the s. |

to change the front you will have to change the wiring harness because the ECM is held in front fairing on the r and it is in the back of the bike on the s. Not necessarily true. If there is enough room to fit 2 HID ballasts and a Stebel air horn behind the XBS flyscreen, you can fit the ECM. |

you would need to squeeze the ECM and 2 fuse blocks under that little fly screen... plus the horn... I think it would be a monster pain in the A But if you just put the S tail on the R... that looks bad A$$ if ya ask me...

But if you just put the .S. R tail on the .R. S... that looks bad A$$ if ya ask me... There fixed that for ya!
