I have been riding in cold weather a lot short trips temp around 50f a lot of yellow stuff is coming out my breather is ok to block air to the oil cooler or just block half of it

Its hard enough to build temp during warm weather....block it off, won't hurt a thing.

Summer is the only time mine are open and the oil temp has never been over 160.

Also, on your short trips, take the long way.
Your engine needs to come up to full temp, a cold bike, almost warmed up, then shut down, a few times will be hell on your gaskets, and seals.
Do that all winter, come Summer you'll start seeping from the base gaskets first...

You can block the oil cooler off in cool weather. The white/yellow you are seeing is water and oil mixed, so the engine isn't getting warm enough to boil the water off that's a bi-product of combustion out of the oil.

You need to take longer rides.

Yep, stuff a rag in it.



Even then, it still doesn't get anywhere near as hot as it does during the summer according to my oil temp gauge.
