i just reopened my account with gary lorge at state farm out of anaheim, ca for my 2007 xb12r. full coverage with a $500 deductible and it worked out to less than 50 bones a month. so i paid $285 for six! also, i haven't had any tickets in over six years now. not too shabby, only because i haven't gotten caught yet...

Louisiana has some of the highest insurance rates and worse drivers in the country.

With Progressive I pay $1080 a year with a $1000 deductible for full coverage.

For my truck I pay $860 a year with a $500 deductible for full coverage.

I know a bunch of buellers (and myself) use Dairyland/Sentry Insurance. I think I looked into them years ago because someone on this site mentioned they gave discounts to Buell/Harley or something to that extent, although I can not remember if it was true or not.

I still use them on my new 2010 because no one else would even carry me. Yes, my record is less than stellar...

Progressive. Would have to look for the breakdown but full coverage for both my wife and I on all four bikes is ~$800/year.

When I bought my 12R, the best quote I got was from progressive @ $1200 a year. State Farm, geico, and a couple others wanted $1500+. Since then, I had a few (ha ha ha) tickets drop off my record, and I moved my trucks over to progressive, got some discounts on the bike. Now it's down to $520 a year.

My Buell insurance with State Farm just went down from $126 to $107 every six months (maybe because I turned 46 late last year). I have full coverage with a $250 deductible.

I have Allstate, full coverage on my 2009 XB12Scg is $650, and just liability and medical on my 2004 GSXR-750 is $500.

I had Dairyland, which was cheap the first year, then they started jacking up the price.

Geico: 190/yr. $1K deductible. I have several motorcycles insured with them on the same policy. This is for the 05 XB9SX.

9 bikes, 5 on winter shutdown, $1600 a year through Geico. Some are only liability too. At some point they give you the "you are an idiot" discount and each additional bike doesn't cost much, i.e. the kids Katanas cost $16 a month for liability. I suppose it helps that I am older than dirt too. LJM

Some what lost in this discussion, do you get what you pay for? Total loss tank slapper with all state - Foot dragging, nickle and diming, not covering everything, can't get anyone to speak to, have to speak to a different person every time. Low speed low side with progressive Saturday afternoon, check in hand next Friday, covering everything and then some. Adjuster was a rider, just like the commercial. Noticed damage I hadn't seen, great experience considering. Similar rates to boot.

+1 Vtpeg. I also have progressive, they went out of their way for me after my last wreck. I got several times more than I expected for repairs to my bike, and the adjuster knew I didn't want to total so he got me as close as he could without going over the threshold. I also had the standard $3k in accessory coverage, which was nice for getting $1200 for a nick on my Micron header : )

Also, I don't know how many other billions of dollars I racked up at the hospital, but they took care of that too.
