Manual seems to remove more than necessary to install reduction kit. What exactly is necessary? Manual had a special locking link tool. Not sure it's needed. Already got primary cover off. Thanks!

You need something to lock things up while torquing the lock nut. It's a lot of torque! You might get by by putting the bike in gear and have someone press hard in the rear brake. I've heard this is doable, but haven't seen it first hand.

I made a tool to do this out of steel plate. PM me and I'll remember to measure it when I get home.

1/4"x1-1/2"x4-3/8" aluminum bar stock,radius the ends to fit the tooth profile.
