Hello I am looking to change my exhaust to a drummer. Will i need to do anything to my computer to make it run right? Thanks for your help! |

from your profile it looks like you have a 2003? with an 03 I would use ECM spy to do anything that your computer needs, or if you can find one a racing ecm could do well too. |

Fireguy, you can use the stock map or I have a map for the stock ecm, which ever it doesn't matter.... Kevin Drum www.kdfab.com |

Drummers run well off the stock map. If you need one later, American Sport Bike can put you in touch with tunes that give a bit less pop on decel and smooths the tune a bit but with the stock map a Drummer is fine. I've run my Drummer with and without tunes at various times. Its a good muffler that works. |

Ok i might be a little slow at this kind of stuff. But i can install the muffler and do nothing to the ECM and it will run just fine? |

It will get better as you ride it. The AFV will scale to suit. If you want to help it along a bit ride the bike at a steady 3800 RPM for 20 minutes. That's for an XB9. XB12 is about 3500 RPM. After that you'll notice the difference. |
