ok, here's my question and i DID use "search" and i cannot find something that take out the doubt i have: does a 1125R shock can "bolt on" a XB9 swingarm?, or not? does anyone have bolted a 1125R shock to a XB swingarm? i'm building a custom "tuber" with a 2006 XB9 swingarm on it, so i'm wondering which shock to use, i really want to go with the 1125 one, but just checking to be sure.... any info is deeply appreciated. thanks and best regards. |

There is a huge difference in the shock length. |

Considering it is a custom tube frame, should be able to weld the frame end just about anywhere to make it work. |

thanks for the info, and yes, Greg, i don't care about the length, i'm gonna weld the top base about where it's the best. my question was just about if it will "bolt on" to the -bottom- of the swingarm of the Xb swingarm. thanks again |

The eyes as far as I know are the same. I know a guy that put a XB R/S shock on a 1125R to lower it. Being that this is a custom job, you can do whatever the hell you want or whatever you can weld. |

thanks for the prompt answer Froggy, what happens is that i really don't want the remote reservoir hanging there, cable, and or other nonsense, the 1125 shock it's compact, and the reservoir it's integrated on it |

i have another question, guys: i got a XB9 Firebolt 2006 swingarm on ebay, now my question here is that a friend of mine has a 2004 XB9 and the swingarm is totally different. in his 2004 XB9 the oil lines are "underneath" the swingarm in mine -2006 xb9- the oil lines are one on the left, one on the right side -both close to the shock pivot- well not close, close, but by there, you get the idea. and one "below" on the left side of the swingarm (primary side). even the oil filler cap is different: mine is way bigger than in his 04. maybe, the ebay seller didn't know what the hell he was selling, and it's a Uly swingarm, well that's what i'm wondering. info anyone? |

Post a picture of it. The 2006+ XB has a different swingarm than 03-05. |
