Would you swap a 2007 Nightster for a 2007 XB12Scg? I have that opportunity. The Nightie has 11,500 miles, the XB 9,900. The XB has the race kit & exhaust.
The bluebook on the Nightster is more, maybe by $2,000. But I sure do like that XB.

I think your last statement sums up what you should do. If you can get a few extra out of the swap then that might make you think a little harder about the trade, but in the end you need to be happy with what you are riding and it seems like you think the Buell would do that better.

If I was trading based on a bike to bike comparison, I would take the Buell hands down. But, with the closing of Buell the prices dropped a lot. I would ask for some cash as well. Maybe you can split the difference at $1000. However, if you plan on keeping the bike for a long time, a straight up swap would work. If you are a person that swaps bikes often, a straight up trade would lose you some money.

Well, I did it. I made the swap. I've always wanted a 12Scg, with my short inseam.
Back to Buells for me!

Congratulations. I used to live in JAX and saw a few Buells down there.

Well done Vanvideo!

You're going to enjoy the same torque(that you're used to) in a responsive bike that weighs hundreds less than the sporty.

You chose wisely.

Thanks, guys. Whenever you can leave a dealership with a smile, that's a good thing.

The XB is beautiful, in cherry red. It has clip-ons installed. I'll post pics when I get the bike (title transfers delayed on my end).
The 12scg is a sportbike, a hooligan bike and a passable cruiser, the best of all worlds.

Congrats. The Buell is a lot more fun.
