Firstly, sorry to appear like a post slut with two new threads in the same week. Secondly, I'm wondering about sending my ECM somewhere to get it programmed for a D&D exhaust. Erik Buell Racing doesn't have any preprogrammed ones, and I'd rather not dish out 600-700bones for the programmable ECM software. Anybody have one they wanna get rid of? Or does anyone know of anyone who can program ECMs? | ||

If yours is an 09 like mine, the Ecm can't be programmed the way older ecms can. And by "doesn't have any," do you mean in stock? Or one specifically tuned for the D&D? I have a special ops and I know he doesn't have one made just for my can. But a drummer Ecm will work just fine. | ||

I'm also interested in a preprogrammed ECM but for my D&D'ed and soon to be K&N'ed XB12Ss. Was gonna check w/Erik Buell Racing when I ordered an ECM for my 1125 to see if it was something they could do since it wasn't listed but it looks like you already did.  Nels | ||

I ran my '09 xb12ss with a d&d, k&n and breather reroute all on the stock ecm with no problems at all. Have a special ops can now, still on stock ecm and still no issues. (Message edited by miami78 on October 24, 2010) | ||

Erik Buell Racing doesn't have any ECMs specifically programmed for D&Ds. They do however have ones specifically for Spec Ops ('04-'07), Drummers and SSs ('04-'10), and Jardines ('08-'10). Would a Jardine programmed ECM do the job? Seems like Jardines flow as easily as a D&D, never seen a Drummer in person so I'm not sure about them. I should just be able to find one with a dyno chart that matches closest to a D&D shouldn't I? Or would that just be asking for troubles later on? I sent Erik Buell Racing an email to their tech dept about sending them my ECM to program it for a '09 xb12 with a D&D and a swiss cheesed airbox. What they'll reply back with is anyones guess but I'm hoping for good things. | ||

I was going to post an email I received from Erik Buell Racing, but I must have erased it. Anyway, I wrote to their tech dept and told them I have a K&N, D&D, and the usual breather reroute on my '08 12R. They replied in a few days saying I should use their ECM for the Drummer. Still waiting ($$$) to buy one. I've had this combo on the stock ECM for a little over two years and 20 thousand miles with no serious issues. One of these days I'll get one... | ||
