This is probably a dumb question but I'm going to ask it anyways. I purchased a D&D slipon for my bike. Can the muffler be used as a jack point like the stock can or do I need to find another way to lift my bike? |

that d&d is plenty strong to jack it up on. |

Works great. One of the reasons I went w/the D&D. Nels |

Just got an email back from D&D customer service saying it was never designed for this. |

Interesting. The D&D is built like a tank and I've never had any issues using it as a jack point to support the weight of the bike. Perhaps an unintended consequence of their design. In either case, good to do your homework and know the score. YMMV, Nels |

It does look like its built to take it. It may just be D&D doing a little CYA. I figure if a few badwebbers had used it with no ill effect I would go for it and see what happens. I live in one bedroom appartment so I don't have a garage to suspend the bike from, but I got a stack of parts to put on my bike. I was thinking of putting the muffler on first then lifting the bike and doing the rest of the work. |
