You will find many different answers to that question! Pick a name brand you like, and mostly you cant go wrong. Just to add to Iamarchangel's post.... My Bike... gas= any brand, but always super unleaded. Brake fluid=whatever shop manual says, havent needed to change or add any. Primary fluid= HD formula. Engine oil=Syn 3. Me= Sam Adams,Bud light,Harpoon, ok just about any beer...Pepsi Mountain Dew, Sprite,etc... |

Peak brand headlight fluid is my favorite, I normally use a special Dupont blinker fluid that was made for use on the space shuttle, costs me an arm and two legs but you don't need that much so it lasts a very long time. That New Old Stock stuff looks interesting, wonder what kind of after taste you have when you drink a bottle. Mobile 1 Vtwin in both engine and transmission but someone said they asked Mobile and the response was to use the Mobile 1 4T in the transmission. Not sure what I'll use in the spring, probably 4T in the trans and Vtwin in the engine though it could go to Rotella T6 synthetic in the whole thing, several months to decide what I'm going to do. |

back when i got to ride, i always used royal purple in the primary as well as the engine. i like it pretty good. i haven't gotten to try anything else in it yet to find out which one she likes better though. so far, i haven't heard one bad thing about amsoil. i might have to pour some of that stuff in there after i get back and get the motor rebuilt... who knows! |

I have formulated my own special blend of Amsoil. I buy 2 quarts of straight 60w and 2 quarts of 20w50, and go half and half in both the engine and the prim/tran. I feel that 20w50 is a bit on the light side to lubricate the trany gears, and 60w is a bit on the heavy side for the primary and clutches, so I devised the blend. I decided to put my special formula in the engine to see what difference it would make from the straight 60w, and I don't know that I can tell anything. I think that with the cooler winter weather coming that I will stick with my special blend, and when it gets uber hot again I will pour straight 60w in the motor. |
