A mate has given me his stock muffler of his 08 XB12R, I want to replace my jardine, so will this fit my XB12s 04? |

would i lose much performance? I currently have race ecm,k & n air filter with open air box. |

You will probably gain power on the lower end, and if the actuator works (probably not if you have a race ECM), you can benefit from that too. |

Agreed. My 12S runs pretty good with the stock muffler and some carefull tuning, fuel and ignition timing mapping. When I bought it (used) it had a modified stock muffler and the "race ecm"... The guy did mention about the big flat spot using ECMSpy...! As hard as I tried, couldn't smooth out the flat spot. I had a stock muffler, put it and the stock ECM back in place....messed with the mapping some. It now runs overall...MUCH better AND gets almost 10 more miles per gallon of gas..! Mike |

Thanks for the input, we are now questioning the year the muffler is off... does it really matter what year it is? |

No difference in the years. Only difference is the exhaust tip, the Uly one has an extended tip on it to clear the kickstand foot. It still fits on the Firebolt fine. |
